Elyssa Pergole is a sustainability strategist, community builder, and creative mind behind Shaping Sustainability. With a background in corporate sustainability, environmental education, and climate communications, Elyssa has worked across sectors to advance decarbonization, circularity, and community engagement.

She founded Shaping Sustainability after experiencing firsthand how isolating the sustainability field can feel—especially for students, early-career professionals, and those navigating roles on small teams. Her goal is to build the kind of community she always wished existed: one where people can ask questions, share knowledge, and grow together.

Elyssa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability from Cornell University and is currently working on finishing up her Master’s degree in Sustainability Management at Columbia University. When she’s not connecting dots across the sustainability world, you’ll find her thrifting vintage tees, going to concerts, or walking in Central Park.
