Elyssa Pergola is a sustainability professional and career coach passionate about helping students and early-career professionals build meaningful careers in sustainability and impact. She has a BS in Sustainability from Cornell University and an MS in Sustainability Management from Columbia University

With experience spanning corporate sustainability, ESG reporting, environmental compliance, sustainable fashion, and the nonprofit sector, Elyssa understands the challenges of breaking into the field and navigating a sustainability career. As the founder of Shaping Sustainability, she has built a growing community dedicated to connecting aspiring professionals with opportunities, resources, and industry connections.

Kim Hallwood is the Founder and CEO of Hallwood Sustainability, an independent consultancy that helps global organizations future-proof their business, manage risk, and unlock long-term value.

A recognized leader in ESG and sustainable finance, Kim spent nearly two decades shaping and executing sustainability strategies inside some of the world’s largest financial institutions, including Barclays, HSBC, and RBC. As Head of Sustainability and member of the Executive Team at HSBC Bank Canada, she mobilized $9B in sustainable finance, advised the Board and senior leaders, and helped position the bank as one of Canada’s Best Corporate Citizens for more than a decade.

Kim’s work has been honoured with WXN’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada, Canada’s Clean50, and Business in Vancouver’s Most Influential Business Leaders. She holds an MBA and sustainability credentials from Harvard, Stanford, UBC, and the Responsible Investment Association.

Based in Vancouver, Kim is also a proud mom of two boys who loves the ocean, travel, and hiking the North Shore mountains.
